The proposed acquisition of the Saddle West Hotel and Casino by Golden Gaming Inc., owners of the Pahrump Nugget, has been called off.

The sale was announced last November. The Saddle West is owned by Marnell Sher Gaming.

A Golden Gaming spokesman released the following statement Thursday:

"We have a great deal of respect for Marnell Sher Gaming and the Saddle West management team. Although we mutually agreed to terminate this transaction, we remain bullish on the Pahrump market and will continue to focus on excellent service for our guests at the Pahrump Nugget and the addition of high-quality amenities in the continuance of our master plan build-out."
