![]() Wilbur D. Earl Wilbur D. Earl went to be with the Lord June 11, 2008. Wilbur was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Detroit, Mich., and was a resident of Pahrump for 13 years. He moved to Port Angeles, Wash., when he was 6, and graduated from high school in Port Angeles in 1933. Wilbur worked for the post office, owned two grocery stores and had a share in PenPly in Port Angeles. In 1955, he moved to Crescent City, Calif., where he worked as a shareholder at NorCal Plywood and retired from the post office. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Wife Jeannie Earl of Pahrump; son David (Jonnie) Earl of Pahrump; stepson Alan Sunde of Guthrie, Okla.; stepdaughter Carolyn Huber of Everett, Wash.; grandchildren Brian Earl, David Earl and Dana Hecker all of Vancouver, Wash., and Cary Samuelson of Port Angeles, Ed Turner of Anchorage, Alaska, John Turner of Pahrump and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren survive him. He was preceded in death by son Robert Earl. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. A celebration of life was held the evening of June 15 at the First Southern Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank Nathan Adelson Hospice for their very kind, patient and professional care. (06/11/2008) ![]() 'Dallas' Robert Stalker "Dallas" Robert Stalker passed away May 17, 2008 at Vegas Valley Hospice in Las Vegas. The youngest of seven children, Dallas was born Feb. 18, 1938, in West Branch, Mich., to Charles and Margaretta Stalker. In 1955, Dallas graduated from Troy High School and married his childhood sweetheart, Patricia Dula, the following year. Dallas graduated with the class of 1957 from Michigan State University in Lansing with a degree in agriculture. Dallas and Patricia packed up their six children in 1972 to move to Las Vegas. They resided in Las Vegas until 1984 when they moved to Pahrump after establishing D and P Mini Storage. Patricia of Alpine, Calif., Cindy (Steven) Wentworth of Renton, Wash., Robert Stalker Jr. of Pahrump, Tammy (Dan) Steenerson of San Diego, Calif., Sammy Stalker, Ann (Charles) Talcott of El Cajon, Calif., David (Carm) Stalker of Pahrump, 14 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters survive him. Dallas was interred at Chief Tecopa Cemetery May 22. The family would like to invite the community to a memorial service 10 a.m. June 21 at the Chief Tecopa Pavilion. (05/17/2008) ![]() Allen Chastain Allen Chastain, 58, passed away June, 13, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born May 28, 1950, in Allentown, Pa, and was a Pahrump resident for 23 years, having come from Arizona. He was a cook at the Water Hole and of the Christian faith. He is survived by brothers Kent Chastain of Oregon, Roger Chastain of Washington, Gorden Chastain of Arizona and Craig Chastain of Pahrump. He was preceded in death by his parents. There will be no services. (06/13/2008) ![]() Michael Gene Kostin Michael "Millennium Mike" Gene Kostin, 38, passed away June 11, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born May 21, 1970, in Oakland, Calif., and was a resident of Pahrump for 12 years, having come from Pioneer, Calif. He was self-employed and of the Christian faith. Wife Karen of Pahrump; son Brian Talbert; daughter Stacy Talbert of California; mother Kathy of Pahrump; brothers Randy (Melinda) Rushton of Pahrump and Robert Rushton of California; sister April Senic of California; grandmother Betty Alaniz of California and one grandchild survive him. Services will be 7 p.m. July 1 at Pahrump Valley Church of Christ, 911 S. Lola Lane. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in his name at Nevada State Bank. (06/11/2008) |
