LAS VEGAS -- Mike Matusow, after a six-year wait, has added another World Series of Poker bracelet to his collection.

The flamboyant, aggressive player noted for his emotional, sometimes angry outbursts at the poker table, won the $5,000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball (with rebuys) tournament Wednesday, at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino here. The payoff was $537,862 out of a prize pool of $1,735,020, generated by 85 players and 272 rebuys or add-ons.

Matusow, who won the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions in 2005 to earn $1 million, previously won bracelets in 2002 (a pot-limit Omaha event) and in 1999 (no-limit).

The victory was achieved against one of the tougher final tables ever assembled at the WSOP.

Second, and earning $347,004, was Jeffrey Lisandro. Third was Barry Greenstein, for a payoff of $225,552.

Erick Lindgren, who won his first bracelet a week ago, was fourth, with a payday of $156,151.

Completing the top five was two-time bracelet winner Tom Schneider, who earned $104,101.

In the top nine were Tony (Tony G) Guoga, $78,075; David Benyamine, $58,990; Tom Dwan, $45,111 and Dario Alioto, $34,700.

David Grey, Nick Schulman and Michael Binger were in the top 14.

* To date, $41,784,694 has been paid out in 18 WSOP tournaments. Thursday's action included play in four more events, out of the 55 scheduled.

Today, the $10,000 Heads-Up Championship begins (5 p.m.). Sunday, the $10,000 limit hold'em tournament will start.

* Satellite tournaments are contested all day at the Rio in a room across the hallway from the main WSOP room, which has more than 200 tables in play almost constantly.

The satellites schedule:

Buy-ins of $125, $175 and $225 give players $1,000 in starting chips, with blinds increasing every 15 minutes. The paybacks are different, with two $500 tournament chips and $120 in cash going to the winner of a $125 event.

In the $175 event, the winner gets three $500 chips and $120 in cash. The reward in the $225 satellite is four $500 chips and $120 cash.

There are also satellites which have buy-ins of $275, $325, $525 and $1,030. In that last satellite, the payback is $10,000 in tournament chips and $150 in cash.
