Warren Hoit Warren Hoit, 89, passed away June 5, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born July 12, 1918, in Tacoma, Washington and was a Pahrump resident for 20 years, having come from Las Vegas. He was educated at the University of Puget Sound and a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces, having served in Europe during World War II. He was employed by the Federal Aviation Agency as an air traffic controller until he retired in 1972, and he was of the Methodist faith. Sister Marjorie Gillis or Portland, Ore.; sons Stanley Hoit of Federal Way, Wash., and Steve Hoit of Lander, Wyo.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive him. He was preceded in death by Beatrice and Janet Hoit. There will be a private family service at a later date. (06/05/2008) ![]() Joyce Ann Benson Joyce Ann Benson, 63, passed away June 9, 2008, in Pahrump. She was born June 3, 1945, in Lynwood, Calif., and was a Pahrump resident for 12 years, having come from California. She was a bookkeeper, a member of the Silver Tappers and of the Catholic faith. Joyce loved her porcelain dolls. Husband Keith Benson; sons Dennis Benson, Darrell Benson and Ken Manning and four grandchildren survive her. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. June 13 at Lee Funeral Home. (06/09/2008) ![]() Alda Terry Alda Terry, 93, passed away May 26, 2008, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Camden, Texas, and was a Pahrump resident for eight years. She was a wonderful person and will be missed by family and friends. Her niece, Carrie "Tex" McMillan of Pahrump, survives her. Services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. (05/26/2008) |
