NCSO seeks pizza pilferer

The Nye County Sheriff's Office is seeking Jerrell Johnson, 18, for his alleged involvement in a pizza delivery robbery.

Timothy Johnson, 23, was sent out on a routine pizza delivery for Papa John's Pizza this February.

When Johnson arrived at the appropriate Parkwood Street address, instead of delivering a dinner he was robbed at gunpoint by two suspects for both the pizza and cash.

After serving what the sheriff's office referred to as "numerous" search warrants and tracking down phone numbers, the investigation revealed four culprits were allegedly involved in the incident.

According to the sheriff's office, one juvenile suspect reportedly told deputies Cole Spencer Murphy, 18, Johnson and another juvenile planned the robbery.

One of the juveniles allegedly called Papa John's Pizza and ordered the pizza for delivery, at which point they waited for Johnson to arrive and then robbed him.

Murphy was arrested and booked on charges of robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a crime, and petit larceny.

His bail was set at $15,632.

Murphy "admitted to robbing the pizza delivery driver," the press release said.
