Little League playoffs continue; Legion Trojans home Saturday

Pahrump Little League playoffs continued at Honeysuckle Park last weekend.

In softball action, the Ruff Ryders outscored the Dodgers 19-18, then lost 25-2 to the Sundevils in the championship game. The Thunder and Double Bubble clashed Tuesday in a playoff title game.

Other scores were:

*Lady Wildcats 16, Double Bubble 15;

Games Monday and Tuesday were in the playoffs; no scores reported.

In Senior League baseball, Pahrump Valley swept Red Rock Cardinals 4-0, 3-2 Saturday at Honeysuckle Park.

In Minor Division action, the Storm defeated the Red Wings 7-6 Monday.

*Pahrump Valley's American Legion baseball team opens its season at home Saturday, facing Las Vegas Cimarron-Memorial in a doubleheader starting at 5 p.m.

Other home games for the Trojans will be June 18 vs. Bishop Gorman, July 3 vs. Coronado, July 7 vs. Western and July 16 vs. Chaparral.

Away games are June 16 at Eldorado, June 28 vs. Sierra Vista at Rivera Park, July 2 vs. Foothill at Paul Meyer Park, July 12 vs. Legacy at Meyer Park and July 19 at Rivera Park vs. Shadow Ridge.

Brandon Bietar is the manager of the Trojans, with Fred Pang and Jim McHugh assisting.
