UNAUTHORIZED AD SALES PEOPLE AT WORK They do not represent PVHS athleticsPVT
The Pahrump Valley High School athletics department has issued a statement concerning the unauthorized solicitation of advertising. The same situation could also affect Beatty, Tonopah, Round Mountain and Gabbs high schools. The statement: There are a few companies soliciting advertising from local businesses for high school athletic posters and programs. These companies have not been approved or authorized by Pahrump Valley High School or the Nye County School District. They claim to be helping our students when, in fact, Pahrump Valley High School does not receive any of the monies paid. We have received several phone calls and complaints that have paid for advertisements and received nothing. They have been led to believe that the original contact was from Pahrump Valley High School, when in fact, they were not. Some businesses have requested refunds that we cannot provide, as we did not receive the money in the first place. Don't let this happen to you! If you are solicited for advertising for the benefit of high school sports programs, ask for Nye County School District identification, or call the PVHS athletics office (1-775-727-7908) to confirm. Pahrump Valley High School is now producing quality programs and posters, of which 100 percent of the profits go directly back to our teams. In order to better prepare our athletes and coaches, we need and greatly appreciate your support. We realize that your generous donations deserve to be recognized and offer packages for every size business, ranging in price from $50 to $1,200. If you are interested in purchasing a package, contact the PVHS athletics office at 1-775-727-7908. We will forward you package rates and details. You can choose the package that's best for your business and specify which sport you would like to sponsor. Bob Hopkins is the interim athletics director and Sherry Allison is the department secretary. |
