* A mistake was made in the name of a scholarship in the Wednesday, June 4 article "PVHS seniors rack up awards." Meggie Muraca won the Charles Dupre Memorial Scholarship.

* The PVT editor clearly needs to become less animal breed challenged. In a front page photo last issue, he grossly misrepresented the creature whom Holly Lepisto was kissing. It was, in fact, a goat. Pig lovers may relax.

* The math didn't add up in a story on page A10 of the May 30 Pahrump Valley Times. The 5 percent figure listed was the amount of power Valley Electric has to maintain in its portfolio in reserve, which it would purchase from Nevada Power Company, which has asked for a rate increase from $3.339 per megawatt hour to $6.445.

* Also, a story that ran on page A12 of the May 23 PVT should've said Pahrump homeowners should as a rule of thumb maintain 30 feet of defensible space around their homes as a buffer against wild fires.
