Teen night

The Nye Communities Coalition and St. Martin's in the Desert will host a teen night 6-9 p.m. June 5 at the Pahrump Town Pool.

Youth accompanied by an adult are invited to come out for an evening of free swimming, food and fun.

Chamber picnic and boat races

The annual Chamber of Commerce picnic and boat races will be 11-3 p.m., June 7 at Terrible's Lakeside.

Let the chamber know you plan to attend in advance and get the first plate of food free.

Additional plates are $2, water and soda are $1 and beer is $2.

Amargosa Days art/craft show

In conjunction with Amargosa Days, the Amargosa Valley Art Guild will hold the 6th annual art and craft show, 10-3 p.m. June 7 at the Amargosa Valley Community Center, 812 E. Amargosa Farm Road.

All artistic mediums are welcome.

Prizes will be awarded for best art, best heritage art, best fabric art and best display.

A $100 Holtz award will be presented for best of the best.

Amargosa Days celebration

The Amargosa Days Celebration will be held June 6-7 at the park. The festivities will begin Friday with a Chili Cook-Off.

On tap for Saturday: 2k/5k walk/run, 7 a.m.; breakfast in the park, 8 a.m.; parade, 9 a.m.; horseshoe tournament, 10 a.m. and an art show in the gym, 10 a.m.

There will be vendors and a swap meet in the park, kid's games, baseball games, concessions in the park and a BBQ dinner at 5 p.m.

The entertainment continues with fiddlers after dinner.

Entry forms for the chili cook-off, horseshoe tournament, runners and parade entry forms are available in the town office.

PAC annual Family Festival

The Pahrump Arts Council will have the 14th annual Family Festival 7-9 p.m. June 7 at Terrible's Lakeside amphitheater.

There will be entertainment provided by local musicians and vocalists, dancers, a "Billy Idol" impersonator and a sunset over the lake.

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair.

Gospel concert at winery

First Choice Pregnancy Center will sponsor a a "Concert Under the Stars" 7:30 p.m. June 14 at the winery amphitheater.

Music will be provided by gospel singer Annie Meadows.

Proceeds will benefit First Choice Pregnancy Center.

Tickets are $5.

Theater Guild 'Spitfire Grill'

The Pahrump Arts Council Theater Guild will present a warm-hearted musical that follows the challenges of a young woman just released from prison.

"The Spitfire Grill" will be on stage, 7 p.m. June 13-14, June 20-21 and 2 p.m. June 21 at the Pahrump Valley High School auditorium.

General admission is $10, students and PAC members $7 .

Golden Years pageant

The Ms. Senior Golden Years pageant will be held 7 p.m. June 14 at the Saddle West Casino.

Tickets are $15 for reserved seating and $10 for regular seating.
