Kohbarger: left Carlin proudly
Bill Kohbarger, the new Pahrump town manager, was quoted in the March 28 edition of the Elko Daily Free Press as saying he was terminated from his prior position as Carlin city manager for doing his job, not for his brash attitude.

18 charges filed against FLOCK
Eighteen charges relating to animal neglect and cruelty have been filed against the directors, officers, employees, and volunteers of For Love of Cats and Kittens, the nonprofit organization that formerly ran the cat sanctuary on Bond Street.


ETHICS COMMISSION: Murray complaint authored by Willis

Organ concert at Scotty's Castle

Among those treasures is the marvelous result of an unlikely friendship between a wealthy Chicago insurance executive and a would-be man of prosperity who could only live vicariously through his own dreams. That man was of course, Death Valley Scotty, and the marvel is the 32,000-square-foot compound known as Scotty's Castle.

This quilt was an idea from the students of the Pahrump Valley High School Renaissance class who thought the heirloom-to-be, made from old PVHS T-shirts, would be a nice way to commemorate the history of the school.

A challenge to the candidacy of Harley Kulkin as a legal resident of Nye County Commission District 3 race has been filed by Mark Reasbeck, who produced extensive video tapes as evidence.
