Matthew Stevens

SEARCY, Ark. -- Matthew Stevens of Pahrump, was among the nearly 650 graduates who received diplomas in commencement exercises at Harding University May 10.

Majoring in management, Stevens received the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

The ceremonies were held in Ganus Athletic Center with President of Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Dr. Steven D. Crow, as the featured speaker.

Crow provides leadership to the commission and its 1.000-member institutions -- including Harding -- to assure effectiveness of regional institutional accreditation and represent the commission nationally and internationally.

President David B. Brooks presented the diploma to Stevens.

Harding had a record enrollment this year of more that 6,300 students from 409 states and 52 foreign countries.

It is the largest university in Arkansas and attracts more National Merit Scholars that any other private university in the state.
