Billy Toler has decided to campaign for one of the two open slots on the Pahrump Town Board.

This is second time Toler has run for town board. He ran unsuccessfully the last election cycle.

He was active in the community as a member of the incorporation advisory board for a short while before leaving for medical reasons.

If elected, Toler said one of his main priorities would be helping the tourism advisory board to spur Pahrump's tourist industry and work more closely with the county commission to get more business here.

In addition, Toler said he would support more laws to help animal lovers protect their animals.

Toler joins eight other candidates in the race for town board.
