Pahrump Little League Girls Junior Softball team defeated Lincoln County 14-4 on Friday and 4-3 on Saturday to become the Nevada state champs.

They will head to Tucson, Ariz., to play in the regionals against winners from Montana, Southern California, Washington and Oregon July 31-Aug. 6.

The girls will play a mandatory four games.

The team seeks donations to help get themselves to Tucson. If you wish to contribute gift cards for food, gas, lodging etc., please mail them to:

This is the first year for the Girls Little League Softball and Pahrump's second team to make it to regional play for the league.

Pahrump Seniors played in the baseball regionals in Oregon in 2007.

Once in Tucson, the girls will have a busy schedule:

July 31, 5:30 p.m. -- Montana vs. Nevada.

Aug. 1, 5:30 p.m. -- Washington vs. Nevada.

Aug. 2, 8 p.m. -- Southern California vs. Nevada.

Aug. 4, 8 p.m. -- Oregon vs. Nevada.
