Jeremy Lynn Rasmussen

Jeremy Lynn Rasmussen, 17, passed away July 18, 2008, in St. George, Utah.

He was born Nov. 8, 1990, in Las Vegas and was a resident of Pahrump for 9 years, having come from Las Vegas.

He was a student at Pahrump Valley High School.

His mother Jill Osterman of Pahrump; father Kenneth Rasmussen of Las Vegas; stepfather David Osterman of Pahrump; brothers Joshua Rasmussen and Brandon Osterman and sisters Ashley and Alise Osterman, all of Pahrump, survive him.

Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, July 26 at Pahrump Family Mortuary. (07/18/2008)

Harold H. Fairfield

Harold H. Fairfield, 90, passed away July 19, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born Oct. 12, 1917, in Norfolk, Neb., and was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years, having come from Las Vegas.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served for 12 years.

"God bless you, Dad."

He worked as a procurement officer, was a member of the VFW Post 10054, the American Legion and Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church.

Wife Helen B. Fairfield; daughters Cynthia (Steve) Edgar of Manteca, Calif, Denise Brackett and her fiance Ray Sweeney of Brentwood, Calif., Cheryl Holmes of Ruth, Calif., and Peggy Kozlowski; sons Harold Fairfield II of Felton, Calif., and David Fairfield of Carson City; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive him.

He will be buried with full military honors at 2 p.m. July 28 in the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., Boulder City, Nev. (07/19/2008)

William J. O'Brien III

William J. "Bill or OB" O'Brien, 78, passed away July 7, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born Jan. 4, 1930, and was a resident of Pahrump for 11 years.

He worked for Sharon McDonald at Concord Air and was in the air-conditioning business for over 40 years.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy from July 13, 1951, until July 12, 1955.

His wife of 35 years, Katie O'Brien; seven children; 12 grandchildren; a sister, Jackie Folsom; one niece and one nephew along with their families and many friends survive him.

William J. Byrne

William J. Byrne, 81, passed away July 21, 2008, in Las Vegas.

He was born April 21, 1927, in Montreal, Canada and was a resident of Pahrump for 10 years, having come from Las Vegas.

He was a veteran of the Canadian Army and served during the Korean War.

He worked as a security guard for the Mirage in Las Vegas.

His wife of 35 years, Catherine Byrne of Pahrump; son-in-law John King of Pahrump and many nieces and nephews survive him.

He was preceded ion death by his daughter, Penny King. (07/21/2008)
