William Morgan Ladd

William "Bill" Morgan Ladd passed away July 19, 2008, in Pahrump.

Born July 31, 1953, to Robert and Roma Ladd in San Pedro, Calif., Bill spent much of his youth traveling the world with his family for the Air Force.

The family settled in North Ogden, Utah where Bill got involved in high school rodeo and eventually, by a chance encounter with a waitress, he met the love of his life, Debbie Rowe Ladd.

They were married April 6, 1973, at The First Christian Church in Ogden.

They had two children together -- Christian Morgan Ladd and Jennifer Ladd Critchlow.

Bill retired as a Lieutenant from Ogden City Police Department after 26 years of service. While serving the O.C.P.D., Bill was selected to attend the F.B.I. Academy. He completed the courses and graduated with honors.

After his retirement from the O.C.P.D., he and Debbie moved to Pahrump, where Bill poured his heart and soul into learning all he could about the gaming industry.

For the next 10 years, he held an executive management position while working in the gaming industry.

Bill will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He was an amazing man who had a heart bigger than his little frame could sustain.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Debbie Rowe Ladd, his daughter Jennifer Ladd (Braydon) Critchlow, his grandchildren, who touched him in places no one else ever could, Chloe Morgan Critchlow, Graeson Colby Critchlow and Kyan Ladd (Turtle) Critchlow; parents Robert and Evelyn Ladd; mother-in-law Jean Rowe; brother Ken (Dee) Ladd; sister Robin Ladd; brothers-in-law Darin, Dallas and David Rowe and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

There to meet Bill was his son Christian Morgan Ladd and his mother Roma Ladd.

Bill's too-soon departure leaves a hole that nothing can ever fill. He will live on through all of the lives he touched.

We love you and we will miss you.

Services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 22 in the amphitheater at Terrible's Lakeside in Pahrump.
