Mel and Bev "Buzz" Kieren, three-year residents of Pahrump, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 13, 1958 in Ontario, Calif..

Mel was a structural steel ironworker and Bev was a housewife and stay-at-home mom to their son, Nathan Vallejo.

Mel has two brothers in Pahrump, Dennis and Ray, and one in Laramie, Wyo. Ruth Wheeler, Bev's mom, lives in Pahrump with the couple.
