Kelley breezes to decision

LAS VEGAS -- Former world champion Kevin Kelley breezed to a unanimous decision win over game but slow Jaime Paloma in their 10-round lightweight main event Tuesday night at Las Vegas Hilton.

Kelley, 40, of Las Vegas still has quick hands and feet and counterpunched his way to the win by scores of 99-91, 98-92 and 97-93.

There were no knockdowns during the bout and neither fighter was hurt.

The left-handed Kelley, the World Boxing Council featherweight champion from 1993 to 1995, now has a record of 60-8-2 with 39 knockouts.

Paloma, 31, has a mark of 13-12-1 with six knockouts.
