THREADZFEST 2008 NOT JUST FOR SPORTS

Although the Treadzfest 2008 is a sporting event for skaters and bikers, there will be a day of music for the younger set performed by various bands both local and from Las Vegas.The sports competitions are scheduled to end around 4 p.m. tomorrow afternoon and then the music starts. Seven bands will play 30-minute sets beginning at 4:15 p.m. There will be a 20-minute break between each set to change out musical instruments for the next band. Scheduled to play and in order are Razorback, Annie Oakley, The Iscariot Syndrome, Kid Deposit Triumph, The Murder Ballad, This Romantic Tragedy and Fletch. Fletch is sceduled for a 45-minute set. The show is expected to end around 10 p.m. "Hot Cargo," above, is a band featured at the 2006 Threadzfest and, below, a group of high-school-aged fans gathered for the same musical performance.
