Donna Lee Descamps will be starting the forthcoming academic year as J.G. Johnson's new principal.

Descamps will replace Holly Lepisto, who was named as the principal of the new Ron and Charlotte Floyd Elementary School.

Descamps graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor's degree in education.

She spent 18 years as an elementary school principal and a secondary assistant principal in Dallas and El Paso, Texas.

The incoming principal has also been an elementary school teacher in Texas and Georgia.

She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and relocated to Pahrump in 2007.
