Head injuries put DA in hospital
Nye County District Attorney Bob Beckett was hospitalized Saturday due to complications resulting from head injuries he received after getting into two separate accidents Father's Day.

| DON McDERMOTT / PVT Chad Goins was the men's champion in the 2008 Pahrump Valley Open Inferno Golf tournament. The tournament was played on the Fourth of July at the Lakeview Executive course.

Chad Goins started playing golf at the Executive course when he was 11 years old; that was 18 years ago.
