Joseph Bancroft Joseph Bancroft, 79, passed away June 30, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born Oct. 7, 1928, in Detroit, Mich., and was a resident of Pahrump for 25 years, having come from Washington. He was a 23-year veteran of Korea and served in the U.S. Navy. He was in a bowling league, had a 12-year education and was of the Catholic faith. His brother, William Bancroft of Michigan; companion Margarete Caldwell of Pahrump and his nieces and nephews all of Michigan survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be private at the Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery. (06/30/2008) Alma Montgomery Alma Montgomery, 87, passed away July 2, 2008, in Las Vegas. She was born April 15, 1921, in Alabama and was a resident of Pahrump for 10 years, having come from Las Vegas. She was a veteran of the U.S. Army. She enjoyed playing bingo. Her club memberships included the Order of the Eastern Star and the VFW Auxiliary. Husband Ralph Montgomery of Pahrump; sons Michael Montgomery of Texas and Phillip Montgomery of Pahrump; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild survive her. (07/02/2008) |
