The traffic light on Homestead Road and Highway 160 is tentatively scheduled to be activated next Friday, July 11, road foreman Dave Fanning said Wednesday.
Las Vegas Electric has to install some overhead wiring across the roads Monday night, which has to be inspected by Valley Electric Association before the lights go to red, yellow and green, Fanning said.
Initially, Fanning told county commissioners Tuesday the traffic light may go up this Friday over the Fourth of July, which could inconvenience travelers unaccustomed to another light, he said.
