Alleged sexual assault

Michael R. Warren, 51, was arrested and booked on charges of lewdness with a minor under 14 and sexual assault with a victim under 14 Sunday, June 22.

According to a Nye County Sheriff's Office press release, an 8-year-old juvenile female would visit Warren's home to visit her friend, also a juvenile.

The victim told detectives that when she would visit, Warren allegedly put his hands under her clothing and touched her private parts "when no one was around."

The juvenile said this had been occurring for two years.

Warren was arrested upon further investigation and taken to the Nye County Detention Center.

His bail was set at $60,000.
