Jeanette 'Jan' Elaine Clinton Jeanette "Jan" Elaine Clinton passed away June 25, 2008, at home n Pahrump. She was born Mar. 13, 1937, in Sedro-Wolley, Wash., and was a resident of Pahrump for nine years. She married her husband Menzo, Oct. 16, 1961, in Las Vegas. She was a realtor and a travel agent. Her hobbies were oil painting, which she taught herself while living in Indonesia, photography, quilting, knitting embroidery, decorating, entertaining friends and working in her yard. She lived in several places including Washington, California, South Carolina, Texas, Nevada and Indonesia. She had the talent to make each place she lived a home for her family. Her greatest joy in life was her family and friends. She was an exceptionally warm and loving person and will be missed by all and never forgotten by anyone who knew her. Husband Menzo of Pahrump; sons Brett of Augusta, Ga., and Scott (Tanya) of Belton, S.C.; brothers Harold (Betty) of Paradise, Calif., and Melvin (Linda) of Kingman, Ariz.; sisters Irene (Gene) of Mount Vernon, Wash., and Della (Charles) of Burlington, Wash., survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents Mollie and Curt Herder and her brother Raymond. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice, 1480 E. Calvada Blvd., Pahrump, NV 89048. (06/25/2008) Kenneth R. Brunell Kenneth R. Brunell, 70, passed away June, 20, 2008, in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1938, in Sarmac Lake, N.Y. and was a Pahrump resident for 13 years, having come from Carson City. He was a retired merchant seaman employed by the federal government. He had a 14-year education, was a member of the Seaman's Union and the Elks in Oxnard, Calif. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a loving, caring husband, parent and grandparent and will be missed by his family and many friends. His wife of 40 years, Diane Brunell; daughter Donna (Jack) Moran of San Diego, Calif.; sons Chris Conner of Caldwell, Ohio and Rene Conner of Pahrump; nine grandchildren, Misty Pulliam of Illinois, Shawn Rosario of San Diego, Calif., Shannon Wade of North Carolina, Christina, Jackie and Jack Moran of San Diego, Destiny and Cory Conner of Ohio, and Madison Conner of Pahrump and great-grandchildren Jacob Jorgensen of Illinois and Anna Green of North Carolina survive him. He was preceded in death by son Tad Brunell; parents Bernard and Dorothy Brunell; brothers Leon and Gene Brunell and sister Ruth Short. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. (06/20/2008) |
