Meat thief foiled

Lance Hennigh, 43, was arrested and booked on charges relating to theft Saturday, Jan. 26, after an attempt to steal meat from Wal-Mart failed.

According to the Nye County Sheriff's Office press release, Hennigh helped himself to some "meat product" and attempted to run out the store exit without paying.

A "loss prevention associate" attempted to stop the meat thief, but Hennigh just pushed the greeter out of the way.

However, Hennigh was successfully apprehended at the west exit of the parking lot by Wal-Mart associates and detained until Dep. Beard's arrival.

Hennigh was booked on charges of burglary and battery and his bail was set at $5,632.
