Wins have been hard to come by this season for the Indian Springs girls and that continued Friday night as the Thunderbirds lost to Beatty, 57-42.

Tina Traster of the T-birds had a big night, recording a triple double with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 16 steals.

Lund moved into first place in the boys 1-A Central with a 66-57 over Spring Mountain.

In the Southern 1-A, Lake Mead Christian Academy took sole possession of first place after charging to a 58-19 halftime lead at Las Vegas Mountain View Christian. The Eagles eventually took an 88-55 win.

Landon Littlefield scored 21 as Lake Mead improved to 20-1 and 4-0. MVCS dropped to 3-1 league.

In the Western 1-A, Smith Valley picked up a big win on the road, downing Pyramid Lake and then handling Gerlach at home Saturday.

The Bulldogs took over sole possession of first place at 3-0 in league and boast wins over both Pyramid and Virginia City.
