Beatty 1-3 in weekend games

Beatty's boys' basketball team lost twice, while the Lady Hornets split in weekend games.

The Hornet boys lost 57-54 to Indian Springs in a Nevada Class A Central Division game Friday, then fell 65-42 to the Pahrump Valley Junior Varsity Saturday in a non-division game.

Beatty's girls overran Indian Springs 57-42 Friday, then lost 40-33 to the Pahrump Valley JVs Saturday. In the latter game, Beatty trailed 30-10 at the half, then outscored Pahrump Valley 23-10 in the final 16 minutes.

In other Central boys games Friday, Henderson International School held off Tonopah 26-24 and Lund surprised Spring Mountain 66-57. Saturday, it was Tonopah 52, Indian Springs 33; Lund 51, Henderson International 46, and Spring Mountain 69, Round Mountain 28.

In girls' action, Tonopah defeated Henderson (no score was reported) and Indian Springs 56-51.

In division games Friday, it will be Indian Springs at Beatty, Henderson International at Round Mountain and Spring Mountain at Lund (boys only). Saturday, it's Round Mountain at Ely White Pine (non-division), Henderson International at Tonopah and Beatty at Lund
