Paul Loer Memorial services for Paul Loer, 81, who passed away Jan. 2, 2008 will be at 11 a.m. on Jan. 12 at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church located on Blagg Road. He and his wife Susan were winter visitors to Pahrump's Preferred RV Park for 10 years and then purchased a home here. He was a resident for the past four years. He was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, the Henry Clay Masonic Lodge #95, Valley Electric Ambassadors Program and Preferred RV Resort. His wife Susan; sons Harald (Sandy) Loer of Concord, Calif., William Baker of Richmond, Va.; daughter Julie (Richard) Hargis of Pahrump; five grandchildren, Brian, Kristin, Shannon, Kimberly and Bonnie; three great-grandchildren, T.J., Tyson and Madden, and two new arrivals on the way, Charity and Kaleb survive him. I.I.A.M. of Henderson handled the arrangements per his wishes for research and helping others. (01/02/08) Richard (Dick) Aldrich Richard (Dick) T. Aldrich passed away Dec. 31, 2007. He was born Oct. 16, 1919 in East Moline, Ill., and lived in the Quad City area until joining the Army during World War II. He was 1st Lt. in the 504th Fighter Sqn., 339th Fighter Gp., 8th AF, U.S. Army Air Corps. After the war he was reassigned to Biggs AAF in El Paso, Texas as a B-29 co-pilot. It was there he met and married Dorothy E. Coates. He was a resident of Pahrump since 2003, where he resided with his grandson, David Aldrich. In 2007 he was hospitalized with cancer. His son Bill (Laura) Aldrich; grandsons David Aldrich of Pahrump and Chris Aldrich of Indiana; granddaughter Beth of Indiana; and several great-grandchildren survive him. His wife, Dorothy preceded him in death in 1988. The family expresses gratitude to Pahrump Valley rescue crews, Desert Valley Regional Medical Center staff, Nathan Adelson Hospice staff, Pahrump VA Clinic staff, Dr. Toppo and friends who helped during his final months. He was a true gentleman. After cremation, his remains will be placed in the common grave with those of his wife Dorothy in Rest Lawn Cemetery in El Paso, Texas. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Nathan Adelson Hospice. (12/31/07) Edward Good There will be private family services for Edward G. Good, 77, who passed away in Las Vegas Dec. 29, 2007. He was born in Nampa, Idaho Jan. 12, 1930. He was a resident of Amargosa Valley since 1972, coming from Sparks. He served in the U.S. Army and wan a heavy equipment mechanic for Engineers Local Union #12. He enjoyed tinkering with model trains. His wife Lucy of Amargosa Valley; daughters Elizabeth Hughes, Karen Rose and Jennifer Selby; sons Rex Leroy Madsen and Vincent Sheridam; sister Pauline Edith Keller; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren survive him. Grandchild Daniel Edward Selby preceded him in death. Lee Funeral Home handled the arrangements. (12/29/07) William Anderson William C. Anderson, 60, passed away Dec. 1, 2007. He was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Modesto, Calif. He worked in the floor covering business as a carpet layer. His wife Bonnie preceded him in death. Internment will be Friday at Chief Tecopa Cemetery.
