Opening Day for the Pahrump Valley Little League baseball and fast-pitch softball programs will be April 5, starting at 9 a.m. at Honeysuckle Park.

The snack bar will be open for breakfast and a full schedule of games is planned.

The PLL, according to a release, is accepting registrations for players 13 and older, in both baseball and softball. All other age-group children will be placed on a waiting list.

All managers, coaches and parents interesting in becoming umpires should attend an umpire clinic March 8-9 at Honeysuckle Park. The clinic is mandatory for managers and coaches.

All players should be contacted by a manager no later than March 7. If a player is not contacted by that date, contact the PLL office at 751-3881.

For more information, call that number or go to the Web site, www.eteamz.com/pll.
