Summer time

The Pahrump Nugget will have 17 summer leagues, according to a release from the bowling center.

The leagues are:

Nugget Dolls (ladies' handicap);

Scratch Trio (mixed trios);

Pahrump Fours II (mixed senior foursomes);

Old Timers (mixed foursomes);

Invited Bowlers (Mixed singles);

Mixed Doubles (with handicap);

Coffee Club II (mixed, with handicap foursomes);

Summer Kids (mixed trios);

Wednesday Mixer (with handicap);

Thursday Seniors II (mixed seniors);

Fun-Time Bowlers (mixed foursomes, with handicap);

TGIF (mixed foursomes, with handicap);

Bumper Kids (mixed foursomes, ages 4-7);

Saturday Juniors (mixed foursomes, ages 8-12);

Saturday Teens (mixed foursomes, ages 13 and up);

9-Pin, No-Tap (mixed threesomes);

We Are Family (Adult-child mixed handicap doubles).

West Coast

The West Coast Senior Tour and the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center are presenting a pro-amateur doubles tournament March 15, starting at 6 p.m.

The entry fee is $30; first place will be $300, with 42 entries. Related payoffs (one prize for every six entries) are $150, $100, $75, $70 and $65.

Senior Singles

The Southern Nevada USBC is sanctioning a senior singles championship tournament March 1-2, 8-9 at the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center.

Reserved entries closed Monday; otherwise, entry deadline is one hour before each squad.

Competition will be in five age groups -- Super Senior (75 years old and up), A Division, 70-74; B Division, 65-69; C Division, 60-64, and D Division, 55-59.

The entry fee is $35, with $20 going into the prize fund.
