Please help our feathered friends

With all the articles regarding the hospital getting new services, etc., what about bringing in an avian vet.

I found myself stuck in a tough situation in regard to my little feathered friend, a cocketiel, who has been with me for 10 years.

When it came time to get him to the vet, no one out here was able to help me, for he is feather-picking himself raw to the point of bleeding, and each person out here kept sending me to Vegas.

A trip to Vegas could add more stress and could be harmful to the bird in this condition.

We desperately need a avian vet out here. Just around my house, two neighbors alone that I know of have birds.

I heard a rumor, don't know how true it is, that there are plans for a 24 hour vet hospital but I'm going to assume it is for horses, cats and dogs. But what about our feathered friends and lifelong companions?

We need a avian vet out here so badly. It would cost more in vet fees, gas money and time spent going to and from Vegas; it would be so much easier to have someone locally.
