HORACE LANGFORD JR. / PVT Pahrump Valley High School's new football stadium bleachers, which will seat more than 1,700, are under construction, with a crew from Oklahoma City doing the work. The stadium will have 16 rows of seats, handicap access ramps and seating, and a new 10-yard wide press box when it is completed. The first event is March 11, when Pahrump Valley host a quadrangular track meet. On April 11 is the Rotary Invitational Track meet. The first football game is tentatively slated Sept. 5 against Desert Oasis, a new Las Vegas high school. Other home football games, pending schedule approval, will be against Class 4-A Sunset Region Southwest Division opponents: Sept. 26, Western, Oct. 10, Clark, Oct. 17, Spring Valley and Oct. 30, Sierra Vista. Visitors-side seating has also been increased.
