Special to the PVT The 2008 USA Marital Arts Winter Olympics were held this year at the Palace Station Hotel on Jan. 26 in Las Vegas. Among the winners from Dragon Cloud dojo are, front, Lia Sarandos, Esad Mrkulic; middle row, Tai Saunders, Stephan Windsor, Jessy Richardson, Anthony Vega, Natalia Colon; and back row, Sensei Jose Hernandez, Josh Siragusa, Tom Wujek, Jerry Hall, Lissette Vega. Pahrump's Dragon Cloud Dojo students made a strong competitive showing with the following wins: first place in team synchronized forms: Lia Sarandos, Natalia Colon, Lissette Vega; first place handicapable forms: Stephan Windsor; first place traditional men's forms and first place traditional weapons: Tom Wujek; first place men's sparring: Jerry Hall; first place girls traditional weapons and second place intermediate girls sparring: Lissette Vega; second place intermediate teen sparring: Josh Siragusa; second Place Team Synchronized Forms: Esad Mrkulic, Anthony Vega, Jessy Richardson; third place boys intermediate sparring and third place boys intermediate forms: Anthony Vega; third place teen intermediate sparring: Tai Saunders.
