PHOTOS Basketball playoffs
 Pahrump Valley and Beatty High School basketball teams are in Southern Nevada regional tournaments this week. The South Class 3-A Trojan boys -- that's Mike Amburgey, 4, making a move -- will play the Overton Moapa Valley boys at 4:40 p.m., Thursday at Del Sol High School in Las Vegas. 
The girls will take on the Lady Pirates at 6:20 p.m. Thusday at Del Sol High School. That's Casey Scheller, 45, in action against Moapa Valley. 
The Beatty girls (with Nichole Stucker in the lineup), the No. 3 1-A Central Division seed, played at No. 2 South Pahranagat Valley Alamo Tuesday night.
