Donna L. McBrayer Donna L. McBrayer, 60, passed away Jan. 30, 2008 in Pahrump. She was born May 13, 1947 in Arizona and lived in Pahrump for 10 years, having come from Las Vegas. She was a nurse and a member of the LDS Church. Donna worked for many years as an RN in ICU Neonatal, Cardiac ICU, Labor and Delivery and home health in Pahrump. She was responsible for starting the Nathan Adelson Hospice here and was a past director of Evergreen. Her husband of 42 years, Tom McBrayer; sons Scott (Karen) and Kevin (Lisa) McBrayer of Pahrump; mother Virginia (John) Towle of Troy Mo.; sister Debbie of Illinois; grandchildren Ashley, Katlyn and Brayden McBrayer of Pahrump and Tyler, Kyle and Clayton McBrayer of St. Charles, Mo. survive her. She was preceded in death by her father Russell Johnson and her grandparents. A viewing will be held 5-6 p.m. and memorial service 6-7 p.m., Feb. 6 at Lee Funeral Home. (01/30/2008) Betty J. Cramblet Graveside services for Betty Josephine Cramblet, 73, who passed away Feb. 1, 2008 will be held at the Grandview Cemetery in Pahrump, next to Pahrump Family Mortuary. She was born March 30, 1934 in Oquawka, Ill. to Weymouth and Josephine O. Butcher. She graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1954 and worked in the medical field for 38 years. Her interests included RV travel, church mission work and painting. Her daughter Tina Vaughn; son-in-law Dennis E. Vaughn; grandson Kyler Vaughn and niece Kathy Snell survive her. Paul D. Cramblet preceded her in death. Pahrump Family Mortuary handled the arrangements. (02/01/2008) Judy B. Ficus A celebration of life will be held today at Perferred RV Resort's club house for Judy B. Ficus, 55, who passed away Feb. 4, 2008 in Pahrump. She was born July 8, 1952 in Wraster, Ohio. She was a two and a half year resident of Pahrump coming from Orrville, Ohio. She was a chef and retired in 2007, a member of the Catholic faith and belonged to Saitta-Trudeau Jeep Junkies. Her husband Donald E. Ficus Sr. of Pahrump; parents Paul B. and Jean Schaffter of Wooster, Ohio; daughter Kelly J. Ficus of Pahrump; sisters Peggy Barnard of Pensacola, Fla. and Denise Schaffton of Wooster, Ohio and many nieces and nephews survive her. (02/04/2008) Gary C. Spaulding Gary C. Spaulding, 54, passed away Jan. 24, 2008. He worked for lumber companies and Burlington Northern Railroad. He quit working full-time in 2001 to travel in his RV. He spent considerable time in Pahrump during his travels. He was gregarious and humorous and at 6 feet, 5 inches tall with a large beard he was quite a presence. He towed his rusty-brown colored Jeep with his 29 foot Jayco RV wherever he went so he could explore the back country. He also enjoyed biking and always had a bike on the back of his RV. He bicycled across the country several times and traveled around the world on his bike in 1988 and 1989. His family and friends expected Gary to come back into their lives as he had so many times before. His sudden death has left his loved ones with many unanswered questions. She was born Sept. 19, 1950 in Fallbrook, Calif., and had lived in Pahrump for 12 years, having come from Las Vegas. She was an office manager in the medical field and retired in 1990. She was of the Christian faith and a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Her sons Gene (Darlene) Vigil and John (Helen) Funderburk both of Las Vegas; daughter Martha Havlicek of Pahrump; finance Shawn Carter of Pahrump; sister Pamela Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla. and 11 grandchildren survive her. She was preceded in death by a son, her mother, a sister and her grandmother. Services will be private. Contact Shawn Carter, 775-303-3176 for more information.
