The reconstructed Pahrump Valley High School gym will be the place to be today, Saturday and Feb. 8, as the basketball and wrestling seasons wind to a close.

TODAY

Southern Nevada Class 3-A League basketball, vs. Mesquite Virgin Valley.

Junior varsity games at 3 p.m. and 4:30, with the girls' varsities clashing at 6 and the boys at 7:30.

SATURDAY

The Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association-sanctioned Class 3-A Wrestling Championships will be contested. Weigh-ins are at 8 a.m., with the doors opening to the public at 9. Wrestling -- to determine three qualifiers in each of 14 weight classes -- starts at 10 a.m. (Note the time change).

Competing: the host Trojans, along with Virgin Valley, Boulder City, Moapa Valley and Las Vegas Faith Lutheran.

Pahrump Valley's final regular-season basketball games in the Southern Nevada Class 3-A League will be played, with Overton Moapa Valley the opposition. Games are at 3 p.m., 4:30, 6 and 7:30.
