FISHING

EAGLE VALLEY

RESERVOIR

Anglers have been pulling both tiger and rainbow trout through the ice. Most of the fish have been caught on PowerBait or worms fished two or three feet below the ice.

Temperatures have been cold and recent storms have brought fresh snow.

ECHO CANYON

RESERVOIR

Winter storms and cold temperatures have provided solid ice conditions. Anglers are trying their luck despite low water levels.

LAKE MEAD

Stormy weather conditions have kept many anglers at home and fishing pressure to a minimum.

The Vegas Bay arm continues to produce schooling stripers for anglers using cut bait. Shore anglers have found success with surface plugs in the saddle Cove and Hemenway areas. At least four fish weighing from 17 to 20 pounds have been caught at B-5 Road.

Trout anglers have found some success for stocked rainbows following weekly trout plants by NDOW.

LAKE MOHAVE

Weather conditions also have slowed fishing activity on Lake Mohave though some anglers have been catching stripers north of Cottonwood Cove.

Tournament anglers have been catching largemouth bass as far north as Nevada Bay. Very little activity is taking place south of Cottonwood. No current report for Willow Beach.

LAUGHLIN

Anglers have found good fishing for stocked rainbow trout on the Colorado River north of Casino Row. Night crawlers have been most productive, but anglers also have been using PowerBait, spinners and Rapala's lures.

WAYNE E. KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA

The reservoirs are about 90 percent covered with ice. Anglers have been taking advantage of the hard water to reel in some hungry rainbow trout from Cold Springs and Haymeadow reservoirs. Rainbow PowerBait with glitter has been taking the fish.

URBAN PONDS

PowerBait trout worms, flies and white crappie jigs have been taking stocked rainbow trout at the urban ponds. Small spinners and lures have also been productive. The limit is three fish.
