Dona M. Gualtieri Dona M. Gualtieri, 76, passed away Aug. 4, 2008, in Pahrump. She was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Springdale, Wash. Dona will always be remembered by her family and friends for her loving generosity and kindness. She will be greatly missed by all people whose lives she touched. Dona is survived by her loving sister June; daughters Gena, Melody, Terri and her sons, Loren and Luigi and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loving friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Nathan Adelson Hospice. (08/04/2008) ![]() Jeremy Brandon Frye Jeremy Brandon Frye, 20, passed away Aug. 19, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born June 30, 1988, in San Diego, Calif. Jeremy was a kind-hearted young man with a great capacity for love. He was passionate about his family, friends and animals. His mother and father, Kerry and Joe Frye, of Pahrump; brothers Josh and Jared Frye of Pahrump; sister-in-law Amanda Frye of Pahrump; Buster and O.J. of Pahrump; grandmother, Grandma Jacci of San Diego and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from the West Coast to the East Coast survive him. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at Pahrump Family Mortuary, 5441 S. Vicki Ann Road. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted in the name of Jeremy Frye at Nevada State Bank. (08/19/2008) Victoria Ann Vance Victoria "Vicki" Ann Vance, 75, left this world for a better place Aug. 24, 2008, at home. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Pennsylvania and later moved to Louisiana before retiring to Pahrump in 1997. Vicki was a friend to everyone she met and worried about everyone but herself. While she worked at Red Lobster as a waitress, she was mainly devoted to her family and supported their interests. Her sons Paul of Las Vegas, Ron (Kathy) of New Jersey; brother Walt Rolniak of Pennsylvenia; sister Rose Yourish of Pennsylvania; dog Felicia and her four roadrunners survive her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Paul Vance in November of 2007; parents Stanley and Rose Mary Rolniak; two brothers and two sisters. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 29 at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice in Pahrump. (08/24/2008) Celia A. Lemmink Celia A. Lemmink, 58, passed away Aug. 23, 2008, in St. Petersburg, Fla., after battling cancer for more than a year. Her family was with her. She was born July 10, 1950, in Greencastle, Ind. Celia taught in the Nye County School District for 23 years. Her teaching was very important to her and she truly loved Pahrump and teaching the kids. She loved shopping and dining out. She will truly be missed. She will be buried in her home town and services will be scheduled later next month. (08/23/2008) ![]() James Kennith Delnort James Kennith Delnort, 66, passed away Aug. 23, 2008, in Pahrump. He was born July 10, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., and was a resident of Pahrump for three years, having come from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He was in advertising and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. James' hobbies were photography, playing cards and traveling. He had a great sense of humor and loved joking around with others. He was a loving father and grandfather. His loving companion Arnette Felt of Pahrump; sons Ken (Nicole) Delnort of Park City, Utah and Jimmy Delnort of Chicago; daughter Elizabeth (John) Higbee of Orem, Utah; sister Jacqueline (Steve) Price of Las Vegas; grandchildren Sierra, Bryce, Paige and Sara; nieces Lisa and Wendy; nephew Chris and several cousins survive him. There are no services. (08/23/2008) Elfie Sophia Rinne Elfie Sophia Rinne, 92, passed away Aug. 20, 2008, in Two Harbors, Minn. She was born March 2, 1916, in Caspian Mich. Among the surviving relatives is her daughter, Carrol (William) Lathrop of Pahrump and their children. Services were held Aug. 25 in Two Harbors. (08/20/2008) ![]() William Ovian Nelson William Ovian Nelson passed away Aug. 24, 2008, in his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1959, in Bakersfield, Calif., and was a resident of Pahrump for 15 years. He was a construction worker in Las Vegas. He liked being an uncle and was the best possible. He was a free spirit and very loyal to family and friends. His hobbies including reading and collecting dragons and swords. He liked to party with his friends and was a faithful fan of Dale Jr. and of course "those Raiders." Parents William "Bill" and Sarah Nelson of Pahrump; brother Bobby (Terri) Nelson of Bakersfield; sisters Mary (Chuck) Baker of Pahrump, Dorothy (Glen) Bensinger of Elsie, Mich. and May (Dallas) Knecht of Collegedale, Tenn; 22 nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and great-nephews survive him. He was preceded in death by one niece and one nephew. Private services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday. (08/24/2008) |
