Brothel plans to re-open

BEATTY -- Angel Ladies brothel's former owner, Mack Moore, plans to re-open at the original location on the north side of Beatty, he announced this week.

His corporation, Moore's Services Inc., filed an application for a license Aug. 14 with Nye County Assistant Sheriff Joan Cody., who coordinates such applications for county gaming, liquor and brothel licenses, Moore said.

Moore owned the brothel until selling out to Cat Mining, doing business as JBJ Ranch, in June 2005.

Cat Mining gave up its license last September and the brothel was closed.

Moore along with his assitant and webmaster, a cook and housekeeper and a security guard have been back on the site, repairing damage caused by vandals, waiting for the licensing authority to allow them permission to re-open in September or October, he said.

The site will remain closed to the public until such time as the board issues the license.

Moore added that the brothel, along with 79 acres of ranch land and water rights, is for sale. He may be contacted at 702-683-9497.
