By CHARLENE DEAN

The Pahrump Arts Council will hold the 2nd annual Evening of Art and Wine at the Charleston Peak RV Park clubhouse at the winery in honor of the artists with works on display in that gallery.

Although PAC uses facilities at the courthouse, the library and, most recently, the treasurer's office to display hanging art, in those facilities there is no space for three-dimensional artists to display their work.

Laurie McCaslin, the gallery manager for PAC, is designating space at this year's wine event to display art examples in beads, woodworking, sculpture and the like.

Artist bringing items for this event are Pat Chapin, Jerry Garza, Angelica McNerny, Katreen Romanoff, Kay Smith, Herbert Tolliver, Janet and Bernie Toy, Don Tracy, Lloyd Martin and Jessica Bindi.

Bindi will also have hanging art on display as will Milo Reckow, Paul Freidan, Andrew Sabori, Fritzi Cox and Barb DeFeo.

Most of the artists will be present at the event to answer questions about their work and meet the public.

The wines will be Pahrump Valley Winery selections, and cheeses along with other finger foods will be available.

The venue will be 7-10 p.m. Sept 4 and it is open to the public.

Call 751-6776 for more information.
