Carluccio's, a Las Vegas-based team, won the overnight One-Pitch Softball tournament last weekend at Petrack Park.

Sponsored by the Pahrump Valley Softball Association, the tournament attracted 13 teams.

While batters were limited to one pitch and the games had 30-minute time limits, the tournament -- which started at 7 p.m. Saturday on the two Petrack Park diamonds -- did not end until 10 a.m. Sunday.

The action continued throughout the night, with an estimated 250 fans watching the fast-paced games.

Carluccio's defeated Las Vegas entry VIP Valet in the finals. Defending champion Hustlers, from Pahrump, lost in the semifinals of the losers' bracket.

The Hustlers went 4-0, as did VIP Valet, in the seeding round. Carluccio's was 3-1, as were HUI and The Punishers.

At 2-2 were Team Shockers, Trailer Trash and Ruff Ryders. Finishing 1-3 were Average Dawgs, Tough Boys and Scared Hitless. Engel Tech and Who's Your Daddy were winless in four starts.

Directing the tournament was Ken Causey, with Amy Carlson assisting.
