Ronald Michalski Ronald Michalski, 67, passed away July 19, 2008, in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1940. He worked in the construction industry and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. His wife Geraldine Michalski of Pahrump, son Ronald Michalski of California and daughter Roxanna (Steven) Bennen of California survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents. (07/19/2008) Margaret Feigel Margaret Feigel, 91, passed away Aug. 1, 2008, in Pahrump. She was born Nov. 7, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minn. and was a resident of Pahrump for 33 years. She worked at Honeywell as a factory assembler. She retired in 1977. She was of the Protestant faith. Her husband, Harold Feigel of Pahrump survives her. (08/01/2008) Leonard Merman Baber Jr. Leonard Merman Baber Jr., 78, died Aug. 28, 2008, at his home in Pahrump. He was born in Fayetteville, N.C., May 24, 1930, to Edith E. Black and Leonard M. Baber Sr. He loved history and was quick to talk about his life's experiences, growing up through the Great Depression. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy and earned numerous prestigious war medals. Always the policeman, he served proudly on the San Diego Police Force in the late 50s and early 60s. He loved that job better than any in the world. In his latter years, he was a great handyman, fixing and painting everything. He was also a great cook. He was a friend to many people in Pahrump, and had a quick smile and a hearty laugh. People were drawn to his conversation. He is survived by daughters Gail of Tucson, Ariz., and Sandy (Baber) Bump of Portland, Ore.; a son Alan, of Tucson and four grandchildren. He was loved by his family and will greatly missed. He will be honored with a private military funeral in Boulder City, and his ashes laid to rest there. She was born June 19, 1959, in Santa Clara, Calif. She was a ten-year resident of Pahrump. Her 15-year-old son, Anthony John Hackney of Louisiana; father, Bud Hackney of Los Angeles, Calif.; mother, Rosalee Hackney of Aransas Pass, Texas; brothers Anthony Hackney of Los Angeles and John Hackney of Texas; and sister Carol Ann Mills of Texas survive him. Services will be held in Aransas Pass, Texas. (08/04/2008) |
