The Pahrump Valley Junior 13-14 Girls Fast-Pitch Softball team played Laurel, Mont., in a first-round game in the Western Regional tournament at Tucson, Ariz., Thursday.

Today, Pahrump Valley takes on Bonney Lake, Wash., in the second of four preliminary games, starting at 5:30 p.m. MDT.

Saturday's opponent is Westchester Del Ray of Southern California, starting at 8 p.m. MDT. Sunday, PV will be idle; Monday, Pahrump Valley will take on Scappose, Ore., at 8 p.m. MDT.

There are 10 teams in the regionals, including Snow Canyon, Utah; All City Softball of Mantecal, Calif.; Oro Valley, Ariz.; Tucson Sunnyside, and Gastineau Channel of Juneau, Alaska.

The tournament will conclude Wednesday.

On the Pahrump Valley team are Danielle Bayard, Tranyce Rankin, Aubrey Cobel, Sara Zinneker, Tori Rock, Alicia Cazier, Sara Williams, Taylor Ball, Miranda Monje and Brandi Monje.
