The Nye County Sheriff's Office advises residents and visitors to the Pahrump Valley to be extra careful when parking their cars there.

An auto burglar has been entering parked cars and removing items of personal property from them.

In a recent press release, the sheriff's office advised people to "ensure that their vehicle is locked at all times and keys are removed from the vehicle when it is not occupied, and not to leave an unoccupied vehicle running, to aid in the prevention of this and other like crimes."

The sheriff's office is actively seeking information regarding the identity of individuals involved in these recent auto burglaries in the center of Pahrump Valley.

If you have any information regarding this or similar crimes, call 775-751-7000, and the information will be sent to the proper investigating deputy.
