Fish Fry

Our Lady of the Valley fish fry will be 4-7 p.m., May 2 at the church hall, 871 E. Gamebird Road.

The menu features fried or baked fish dinners served with coleslaw and French fries, fish tacos with French fries, desserts and drinks.

Eastern Star yard sale

The Order of the Eastern Star will hold a yard sale 8-2 p.m., May 3-4, 1901 Isaac Ave.

There will be dolls, furniture and unique, exotic items.

The Experimentaln Aircraft Association chapter 1160 will meet at 10 a.m., May 3, Phil Sullenberger's hangar, corner of Jet and Helicopter, Calvada Aeropark.

Pet adoption

The Nye County Animal Shelter will hold a pet adoption 10-2 p.m., May 3 at Hollywood Video, 240 S. Highway 160.

Adoption fees for dogs is $64 and the adoption fees for cats is $36.

The VFW Post 10054 will host a swap meet on the second Sunday of every month (except May) beginning 7-3 p.m., May 4, 4651 S. Homestead Road.

Space rental is $7 if you bring your own table or $10 if the table is provided by the VFW.

The swap meet is open to the public and there is plenty of parking.

Glamour photo shoot

The Cinderella Girl Scholarship Program will have a glamour photo shoot by Enfocus Photography 10 a.m. to 7:15 p.m., May 3, at Seemoore's Too.

Costs must be pre-paid and are $19.95 for a complete session, plus a 10 x 13 portrait for one person. Additional guests are $9.95.

Benefit concert

The Cinderella Girls will sponsor a benefit concert at 7:30 p.m., May 31 at the Skate Zone. Serene, Dac & Deal Records and Iscariot Syndrome will perform. Proceeds go to benefit the Cinderella Girls Scholarship Program.

PVHS Seniors car wash/sale

The Pahrump Valley High School Seniors will hold a fundraiser car wash and yard sale, 8 a.m.-??? May 5 in the high school parking lot.

There will be a yard sale as well and lemonade and kettle corn available for purchase.

Benefit play performance

The Shadow Mountain Community Players will present "The Curse of the Cobra's Kiss" as a benefit for the James family.

The event will be at 7:30 p.m., Friday, May 2, Manse Elementary School, 1020 E. Wilson Road.

The ticket price is $5 per person and the doors will open at 7 p.m.

All proceeds will go to the James family.

Vendors wanted

The First Choice Pregnancy Center will hold the 2nd annual Caring Hearts Bazaar, a Mother's Day shopping spree, 9 a.m.-noon, May 10 at the Bob Rudd Community Center.

Key Club needs donations

The Pahrump Valley High School Key Club will be collecting non-perishable food to be donated to the local food banks at the VFW swap meet May 4.

They are also campaigning to raise money for the American Cancer Society by selling doughnuts, soda, water, etc.

Republican office needs volunteers

The Nye County Republican Central Committee will open its office May 1.

Volunteers are needed to man the office Monday-Friday at 1330 S. Highway 160 beside Quizno's.

Methodist rummage sale

The Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church will hold a spring/summer rummage sale 8-4 p.m., May 2 and 8-1 p.m., May 3 at the church, 1300 E. Highway 372.

There will be clothing, linens, crafts, books, household items and appliances.
