Loren Dean Ulrich

Patricia Warburton-Abernathy

Patricia Ann McGuire Warburton-Abernathy passed away April 7, 2008, in Salt Lake City, Utah due to complications of surgery.

Pat was born June 3, 1932, to Herbert S. and Roxie Anna McGuire in Elsinore, Calif.

Pat grew up in Fontana, Calif., from age 5 and graduated from Chaffey High School in 1950.

She joined the work force and in 1951 met and married Tom Warburton. Pat happily began her new role as a wife and mother to three children; Pennie Lynn, Gail Ann, and Tommy Nick.

Tom, Pat and family moved to Boulder City in 1961, moved to Las Vegas in 1975 and in 1990 they built a home on 10 acres in Pahrump.

Over the years Pat worked for the City of Boulder City, Government Bureau of Reclamation and at the Nevada Test Site.

Pat's husband Tom passed away in October of 2001, just after their 50th wedding anniversary.

Pat remarried and began her new life with a dear long-time friend, Ben Abernathy.

Both Pat and Ben grew up in Fontana, Calif., went to junior high school together, rode the same school bus and graduated from Chaffey High School.

Pat's husband Ben is a retired Chief of Police from Fontana, Calif.

Pat is survied by her dearly loved and devoted husband Ben; the entire family who were her life, children Pennie L. Bainbridge, Gail Ann Cunningham and Thomas N. Warburton; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Stanton L.; sister Bettie and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration of Pat's life will be held beginning with a viewing, 11:15-12:15 p.m. and the chapel service, 12:30 p.m., April 26 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, corner of West and Wilson.

An informal gathering will start at 1:30 p.m. in the church recreation room.

Burial, prayer and dedication of the grave will take place at 4:30 p.m., Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern, in Las Vegas. (04/07/2008)

Thomas Joseph Pickette

Thomas Joseph Pickette, 81, passed away April 21, 2008, in Pahrump.

He was born May 14, 1926, in Watertown, N.Y. and was a resident of Pahrump for 28 years, having come from California.

He was a maintenance supervisor in San Bernadino, Calif., and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Two daughters, two stepdaughters, one son, six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren survive him.
