Even though Terrible's Casino announced it would not be opening a movie theater, there's still a glimmer of hope that Pahrumpians can enjoy a night at the movies without driving all the way to Las Vegas.

At least, that's what Rod Fox, president of Milestone Entertainment hopes.

Fox, who brought outdoor family movies to the town in Petrack Park on a 70-foot, inflatable screen last summer, said he is actively looking for a location here to build "a state-of-the-art movie theater."

According to a prepared statement, preliminary plans for the movie theater are for between five and eight screens in the first phase.

All he needs is a place to put the theater.

"We're just looking for possible areas where there's not going to be lot of traffic impact," Fox said, adding that he was hoping to find a location on one of the main arteries in town.

"As soon as Fox heard that Terrible's was not going to build the movie theater in Pahrump he assembled his team," the press release stated.

"I have heard the requests from the citizens of Pahrump for a movie theater and I will do the best that I can to see the town of Pahrump gets its wish," Fox said.
