Leona Ann Reed

Leona Ann Reed passed away April 9, 2008.

She was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Medford, Ore., to Barney and Elsie Klukkert.

In 1955, Ann met Richard Reed, the man who would become her best friend, companion and husband of 52 years. After a brief courtship, Ann and Richard married, started a family and moved to Rouge River, Ore., where Ann worked as a supervisor in the electronics industry.

Ann retired in 1990 and she and Richard traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada.

Ann delighted in finding places "off the beaten path" and chronicling their adventures in her journals.

During their travels, they discovered Shoshone, Calif., where they became regular winter visitors and part of the community.

Ann particularly enjoyed working in her garden and decorating the town for the holidays.

Her husband Richard; children Susan (Rod), Leslie (Lee), James and Holly (Jamie); brothers and sisters Doreen, Jerry and Mona and their spouses and children; grandchildren J.C., Carrie and Brian and three great-grandchildren survive her.
