Seniors go shopping The Pahrump Senior Center has chartered a bus for a shopping trip to Primm. The bus will leave the VFW at 9 a.m. and leave Primm for the return trip at 5 p.m. The cost is $20 per person and reservations must be made and paid by April 18. Call 727-5008 for more information. Salvation Army anniversary dinner The Salvation Army Pahrump Corps will have a 10th anniversary dinner 5:30-8:30 p.m., April 26 in the Parump Nugget Banquet Hall. Dinner will be buffet style. There will be a silent auction and music by Woody Woods with vocals by Lynn Peterson. Tickets are $35 per person and $60 per couple. Business attire is requested. Amateur Radio exams Examinations for the Amateur Radio licenses will be at noon, April 26, Nye County Office of Emergency Management, 1510 E. Siri Lane. Laureate, Beta Xi meet The Laureate Omicron and Beta Xi of Beta Sigma Phi will meet for a luncheon 11:30 a.m., April 26, Desert Greens Clubhouse, to celebrate Beta Sigma Phi founder's day. United Way golf tournament The United Way of Pioneer Territory will hold the Jerome Pollock Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 19. The scramble format with a shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Saitta-Trudeau will sponsor the hole-in-one contest. Player sign-up deadline is April 11. Attendees will be able to purchase bags for $5 each and have whatever will fit in the bag. Special items will be available at incredibly discounted prices. No to Abuse is currently overwhelmed with donations and the rummage sale is to make room for new items coming in. The proceeds will go to improve services to families in need.
