Air Force likes Pahrump skies
BEATTY -- The Air Force plans to use the skies above Pahrump regularly for twice-annual training exercises, following the first two exercises this past year, Nye County commissioners were told Tuesday.

County may scrap desert tortoise plan
Nye County Commissioner Joni Eastley suggested the county return $225,000 in grants to prepare a desert tortoise habitat conservation plan and dump the agreement, after both sides continued arguing over the latest revision Wednesday.

Art show opens in Tecopa
The Tecopa Basin Artists Group will present Jehane Rucquoi: One Woman Show, as an opportunity for the public to view collections of the artist work when the installation opens with a reception 3-5 p.m., April 20, at the TBAG Art Gallery at Tecopa Hot Springs Resort.

Nye County commissioners approved using another $1.5 million for expanding the Nye County Government Complex Wednesday, on top of $1 million already approved.
